Anything Goes with ODBD Stamps Challenge - ODBDSLC215

Thanks so much for stopping in today! I love your visits and comments, as always.
I created this card for the current challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs. For this challenge we can make any card we want that uses ODBD stamps.
I began by making a 5" x 7" white card base. I diecut a shaped hole and heat-embossed the sentiment on the inside of the card so that it would show through the hole.
I heat-embossed and diecut two snowflakes and added rhinestones to one snowflake. I adhered the two snowflakes together with foam tape. Then, I adhered the pair to my card as shown with foam tape. Here's a close-up of the snowflakes.
Here's a close-up of the sentiment inside the card.
ODBD stamps and dies I used today:
          Snowflake Sentiments #EC506
          Sparkling Snowflakes #EC508
          Snowflake Custom Die Template

There is still plenty of time to join in the fun. Check out the details here: http://www.ourdailybreaddesignsblog.blogspot.com/2014/10/odbdslc215-anything-goes-with-our-daily.html

Feather Weather and Upcycled Packaging

OOoooo, feathers! I hope this trend never goes away. As soon as I saw the latest Tuesday Trigger inspiration, I knew I had to use my marabou feathers on a card in some way.
     Here's the trigger:
    Gorgeous, no?
Here's my take on the challenge and a note about upcycled packaging.
First, I made the card base with white cardstock embossing it with Cuttlebug's Birds and Swirls folder. Then, I die cut the bird using Spellbinders' Bird Sanctuary dies.
I bought a new laptop a while back, and when I pulled the protective cover off the keyboard, I knew I had to upcycle the cover in some way. I used it here as a stencil to make my own patterned paper. After daubing on some color,  I trimmed the panel and matted it with matching cardstock. The stencil covers half a sheet of cardstock so I have more panels to play with. Wooohooo!

Birthday Card Challenge

I'm entering this card in the Birthday Card Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. The challenge is to make a birthday card where stamping is the featured technique.
Using Tim Holtz' Playful Journey collection, I heat-embossed the old car in dark blue on a light gray cardstock panel I die cut using Labels Eighteen dies from Spellbinders. I brushed the edges of the panel with VersaMark's watermark pad. I heat-embossed the sentiment with silver pigment and clear embossing powder. Have a birthday card you've made that you want to enter? You can find the info here:  http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2012/06/stamp-it-cards-week-birthday-card.html

Monochromatic Thinking-of-You Card

I made this card for the Hero Arts June challenge. The gorgeous cardstock is  more of the Coral Couture stack that I won from DCWV recently. I heat-embossed and cut the die-cut flowers, flourish and sentiment using Hero Arts Thinking-of-You stamps and matching die framelits. I love the monochromatic style. I think it definitely adds an elegance to any project.
