Children's Book Academy

I just finished a five-week online writing course from the Children's Book Academy. I had tons of fun and learned so much. If you have ever entertained the idea of writing and/or illustrating for kids, you should check them out. I highly recommend the Academy. I'll be taking more courses in the future. If you decide to take a class, you should pay the extra for a private critique. It's worth its weight in gold. Here's the link: http://www.childrensbookacademy.com/
Thanks so much for stopping in today. Hope you are having a great day, Pamela

Picture Book Idea Month

November has been a great month! I participated in Tara Lazar's #PiBoIdMo. The goal of this event was to come up with an idea for a children's picture book every day in November. I did it! That makes me a winner!
Tara gathered other authors to provide some daily inspiration. I've learned so much and am overflowing with ideas for writing projects. I'm already looking forward to next year's event!

Picture Book Idea Month

I've been out of town for a few weeks visiting Mom. I'm back just in time to be a part of PiBoIdMo - Picture Book Idea Month. Our challenge, hosted by picture-book author, Tara Lazar, is to come up with a new picture-book idea every day in November. Not only that, but picture-book authors, agents and others from the industry will have things to share with us each day. I'm excited to participate this year. If you have ever thought about writing for young children, you might want to check out this event. Max is Here at Last!

Max, is here at last! I got my copies this morning and am excited to share him with you.

If you want a copy, you can order a printed book or an e-book anywhere you normally buy books. Some of you have been asking for autographed copies. You can email me privately at phaskin@hotmail.com and I will send you the info you need to get one.
Thanks so much to all of you who have encouraged me and kept me believing in myself throughout this endeavor. I woke up every morning wanting to work - play - create. Your support means a great deal to me.
