Ironing Board Pops

Today, I have a layout to share with you. And, a little bit of my heart.

That's my mom there in the picture taken back in 1968. I now have the ironing board in the picture. It has a warp on the surface. It makes a loud pop every time I press with more than the slightest pressure. Ah, but it makes me happy! It brings back such sweet memories from when I was a little girl playing at her feet while she ironed.
I wrote about "our" ironing board in a story for Angels on Earth magazine. I worked and worked to get a clear enough picture so that you could read the story here, but I was not successful. If you would like to read the story, you can read it free online here.    https://www.guideposts.org/better-living/positive-living/emotional-and-mental-health/memories-are-a-pressing-matter

Pam, such a beautiful story! I must admit, although not the same memories or experiences of playing under the ironing board, I did get teary eyed thinking of the distance between me and my parents and sisters and remembering life in childhood. It does a soul good to remember, reminisce, cry a bit, then hug the family you have living with you right now!
