Magazine Monday 107 Challenge

As promised, this is a card using the same design that I used yesterday with very different results.
As you can see when compared to yesterday's card (below), I flipped the design on its side and picked textures and colors to make it more suitable for a man. As I mentioned yesterday, I love playing with textures to create depth. I chose different textures this time and only three of them. I picked three embossing folders with more masculine flares. I matted the panels with black and white. I drew inspiration from the summer colors of the sand and water on the magazine cover that Paper Crafters Corner gave us to work with this week (also below along with a link to all the fun). I kind of liked the mish-mash of people on the cover, so I interpreted that with a freestyle collage.

I also like to make the inside of my cards nice too. I used some of the leftover scraps from the front of the card to add a special touch to the inside.
Come play with us! You can find all the details here:

Color Challenge ODBDSLC245

Thanks for popping in! Today, I have a card for this week's color challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.

I used several ODBD products to create my card.
Sentiment Stamp: Phil. C142 and No Words #F515 (for inside sentiment - Even when we do not have the words to pray, God understands and hears our heart.)
Dies: Asters CSBD57, Fancy Foliage CSBD33
I love playing with textures to create depth. You can see I had lots of fun with this card! I used five different textures here. I picked five embossing folders, but you could easily use just three. I matted the embossed panels with two different colors from the color inspiration ODBD gave us to work with. Color chart and link to all the fun is at the end of this post. I stamped the sentiment in a deeper matching color. This is also a great card for using up scraps. Check back tomorrow because I have used the same design on its side and made the card masculine.
This card is for my mom. She is struggling so with her health. Getting cards really cheers her up. Will you pray with me for her now?
Father, I thank you for such a fun mom. It's so hard to see her struggling so. I ask You to reach out and touch her. Give her strength to stand and walk again. Give her deeper faith in Your love and power. Please, bring a smile to her face today. Praying in the name of Jesus and in agreement with my friends who pray with me now. Thanks for remembering we are dust. (Psalm 103:14)

Anything Goes Challenge ODBDSLC244

So nice of you to stop in today. I always love your visits and comments. Hope your day is as sunny as mine.
Today, I have a card for the Shining the Light Challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.
This week's challenge is anything goes. I used the  Pennant Swag die and the Pennant Swag Alphabet stamps from ODBD on my card. I love being able to tailor my own sentiments with these two items. The die has a beautiful bow tied at each end to hold the flag in place, but they did not really fit my card, so I cut them off the finished piece. I will definitely use this set a lot!
Tracy, a very sweet friend of mine from Australia, sent me the We Are Family paper collection from Echo Park Paper Co which I used to create my card.

Magazine Monday Challenge - Week 100

Thanks so much for stopping in. Hope you are enjoying your day.
Today, I have a card for the << 100th >> challenge over at Papercrafters Corner.
We got to pick from three different magazine covers this week. You can see them below along with the link to join in the fun. We also had to use or represent the numbers 100, 10 or 1 in some way. I have 10 arrows on my card.
The colors from the first cover and the beautiful curves of the third cover inspired me. I used patterned papers from Colorbok (59587A). I stamped all the sentiments by curving different clear stamps from Hero Arts (CL342) and Paper Smooches (A1S208) to match the curve of my ten arrows.
Now, here are the magazine covers and a link to PaperCrafters Corner.

Research Question

I'm working on my next book, and I need some help. Thinking back to when you were 5-10 years old, what one wish did you have that you really hoped would come true? Did it come true? Do you still wish for it?
You can leave your response in the comments here by clicking "comment" below. It will take you to the comment form. If you prefer, you may leave a comment on my Facebook page. I am Pamela Cripps Haskin on Facebook.
Thanks a million for you help!
